Installation
Socialismus installation in this section is split into three operator paths:
- Normal installation for straightforward installs on either a backend server or a proxy
- Split installation for setups where proxy and backend both run Socialismus but handle different chat responsibilities
- Synchronization for setups where chat state or delivery should be synchronized through SocialismusRedis or SocialismusChannelizer
Download paths
Use GitHub releases when you want stable published versions.
This path is best when you want a normal released build of the base plugin.
All installation guides in this section explain which files you need and how to download them from those sources.
Module scope
The installation walkthroughs in this section will focus on installing the base Socialismus plugin first. That is a documentation scope choice, not a product limit.
Socialismus is designed to grow through modules, so optional features such as bubbles, announcements, private messaging, and similar social systems can be added later through module installs. Those extension-specific setup guides will fit under the broader Extensions section.
